East Region- Brockville Painting Program- Children-5-10 Years Old
Program Description: This initiative is specifically tailored for children and youth with autism, alongside their caregivers. Fun Art aims to provide a secure and nurturing environment for exploration of various acrylic painting techniques. Each week, participants take home a new masterpiece, with all necessary supplies and instructions provided by Fun Art. For those requiring assistance, support workers attend alongside clients, engaging in the artistic process to foster a positive social experience and a sense of inclusivity.
This is not a transfer of care program, parents must remain on-site to assist their children
Children's Program Age 5-10 years old:
Week One: Participants will dive into the world of acrylics, exploring the concept of a horizon line to create a simple seascape with a distant sailboat. The focus will be on fundamental techniques such as brush handling, paint application, and basic instruction following.
Week Two: Building on the skills acquired in the first class, children will create a vibrant background for a winter polar bear, enhancing their artistic abilities.
Week Three: Continuing skill development, this week's theme invites children to paint an underwater scene featuring a seahorse, expanding their repertoire of techniques.
