Milton-Snowshoe Hike

Registration Opens December 16 at 1:00PM

Families are invited to join Autism Ontario for Nature Club, a monthly nature program led by Conservation Halton. 

Snowshoe Hike (alternate-guided hike) 

Join us as we explore a winter wonderland on snowshoes! Program includes an introduction to snowshoeing, guided hike and fire gathering with hot chocolate. Snowshoeing is weather (snow) dependant.  In the case of inclement weather we will switch to a guided winter hike   

Registration

The registration is for children with ASD, ages 5 to 18. The entire family is welcome to join us, including siblings. After the program, families can stay and enjoy their day at the park!

Spaces are limited. Pre-Registration is required! 

This is a PAID event, and fees will be collected at Conservation Halton front gate. 

Fee & Ticket Information:

Families will reserve the number of tickets for this event through Autism Ontario event page. Please register the exact number of tickets you need for your family. Tickets will be purchased at Conservation Halton Park front gate upon arrival.

Familes must complete pre-registration with Autism Ontario, and bring printed ticket receipt to the entrance gate. Please indicate at the gate that you are here for the Autism Ontario event. You will not be able to participate in the Autism Ontario event without supplying your printed ticket at the gate entrance. 

Tickets fees to be paid at Conservation Halton front gate:

  • Child with ASD: $9.00 (includes park entry fee)
  • 1 Supporting Adult : FREE park entry
  • Additional Adults / Support Worker: $9.00 (includes park entry fee)
  • Siblings: $9.00 (includes park entry fee)
  • Child 4 and under: FREE

Other details:

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather. This program is best suited for children and youth that enjoy being outdoors and can follow basic safety rules when walking in nature. Supervision will not be provided so families are responsible for supervising their own children.

 About the Facilitator:

Tania Hutton is a program instructor with Conservation Halton, and a parent of a child with autism! She will be facilitating this nature walk for families in our area!

Cancellation Policy 

If your family is unable to attend after registering, please email Laura, Regional Program and Volunteer Coordinator no later than January 16 at 5:00PM. We will extend your spot to another family on the waitlist.
