West-Essex-Maple Syrup Fest

Come on out to Essex Region Conservation to tap into trees, collect sap, and try old-school maple tools!
We will gather inside the 1842 Park Family home to taste pure maple sugar while discovering the final stages of maple making, from sap to syrup, butter, and sugar. Along the way, explore maple as an Indigenous innovation, its vital role in early settler survival, and its lasting place in Canadian culture today. Top off your experience with maple taffy on snow and visit the Maple Market to shop!
Anything purchased at the Maple Market is at your own expense.
You are welcome to bring in your own food and drinks for this event.
There is limited heating available on site, please dress warmly.
We ask that all participants arrive 15 minutes early to check in with staff.
