This webinar will help parents, caregivers, and autistic people better understand the prevalence of psychiatric medication use in autistic individuals on the autism spectrum. It will also help caregivers of autistic individuals develop an approach for deciding when psychiatric medications are appropriate and aid them in evaluating the positive and negative effects of psychotropic medications.
Dr. Amanda Sawyer is a child and adolescent psychiatrist working in Toronto. Her clinical interests include working with children and adults on the autism spectrum, children with developmental disorders, and adults with intellectual disabilities.
