What’s Inside the Beehive

Did you know that 90% of bees are girls but only the queen bee lays eggs?  Meet the 50,000 bees inside the beehive!

Join us for a virtual field trip on July 22nd at 11 :15am -noon. Autism Ontario has partnered with Bees Bees Honey Company to offer a 45min « What’s Inside the Beehive » virtual field trip.

In this virtual field trip, students will learn about the different parts of the beehive and the life cycle and distinct roles of the honey bees found inside.  We'll introduce the worker bees, the queen bee, and the male drones and explain how they all work together to make honey and pollinate flowers.
