Toronto- Allies and Obstacles Workshop
Autism Ontario has partnered with The Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre and Re-Storying Autism to offer an evening focused on parent advocacy, past and present. Authors of the book "Allies and Obstacles" will discuss their research and highlight the ways in which parents of children with disabilities have been both "allies and obstacles" to the Disability Rights Movement.
Most parents want what is best for their child; we will explore how we can advocate together for ourselves, our families, and our disability communities.
This virtual event will feature a panel discussion, as well as two short films from Re-Storying Autism members.
This event will be captioned.
A link to join the workshop will be emailed prior to the event.
