South - Hamilton – Bike Safety Maintenance

Autistic youth aged 12-17 can join us at New Hope Community Bikes in Hamilton to learn bike rider safety and easy maintenance tips. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bike for practice.
Programming Details
- Helmet safety and fitting
- Bike maintenance - cleaning the chain, lubricating the chain, putting a chain back on, filling tires
- Communication safety
- Each participant will receive a bell and learn how to mount it.
Things to consider for participants: there are many tools in the shop and given the nature of the bike shop there are materials that can be toxic. Please wear clothing that can get dirty.
New Hope Community Bikes provide affordable bikes, hands-on learning, and inclusive experiences that support riders of all backgrounds.

Registration Fee: $10.00 (no refunds, once registered)
Space is limited so only autistic children + one parent, please.
