West-London-Cosmic Connections-UWO Observatory(Ages 7-12)

Join Autism Ontario and the University of Western Ontario for our new multi-week program, Cosmic Connections! This 4-week program is for children aged 7-12 years old. 1 adult can attend per child as space is limited.
Learn about all things space and even use the telescope to observe the skies! Fun hands-on activities will take place each week. The telescope will be available at the end of each session, weather depending.
Week 1: Blast Off Into the Solar System!
Get ready for an epic space adventure! We’ll explore all the planets, discover what makes our solar system so amazing, and then you’ll design and build a solar system of your very own!
Week 2: Journey Into Black Holes & Constellations!
This week, we dive into the mysteries of black holes—what they are, how they work, and why they’re so cool. Then, create your very own constellation!
Week 3: Moon Magic & Crater Creation!
Let’s take a closer look at Earth’s closest neighbor: the Moon! Learn all about its phases, features, and secrets… then make your own moon-crater experiment come to life.
