West – Windsor – Cooking with Confidence (ages 13 – 17 years)

Autism Ontario is excited to partner with Behaviour Essentials, and Big Spoons Little Spoons to offer an engaging 6-week cooking program! This unique experience is designed to help you develop essential cooking skills, explore new flavors, and make lasting friendships. Each week, participants will come together in a warm and welcoming environment to learn the art of cooking through hands-on experiences and shared culinary discoveries.
Program Highlights:


• Skill Development: Each session focuses on essential cooking techniques and kitchen safety, helping you gain confidence as you prepare a variety of delicious dishes.
• New Flavors: Expand your palate by trying exciting new ingredients and cuisines! We encourage participants to step outside their comfort zone and discover new tastes.
• Follow Directions: Learn the importance of following recipes while also fostering creativity. You’ll practice reading and interpreting recipes, measuring ingredients accurately, and timing your cooking for mouthwatering results.
• Community Building: Connect with fellow participants as you cook, share stories, and enjoy meals together. This program is not just about cooking; it’s about forming friendships and building a supportive community.

Registration Process: After registering, you will receive an email from Autism Ontario containing a questionnaire. Please complete this questionnaire as your registration will not be finalized until we receive it. Expect this email within 5 minutes of registering!
 

Session Details. This is for group one. 

Cost: $30

Group 1:4:45 PM - 6:15 PM (Ages 8 - 12 years)
Group 2: 6:45 PM – 8:15 PM (18+) 

6 week session: January 2025, 12, 19, 26 February 2, 9, and 23.

Please ensure you have registered for the correct group.

Participants will receive assistance from Big Spoons Little Spoons during the classes, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment. Please note that all parents/caregivers are required to stay on-site during the program.
