North - Huntsville - Sensory-Friendly Christmas Train

Muskoka Heritage Place! The Portage Flyer locomotive and authentic coaches have a thousand lights. Once on board, you will gently ride alongside the Muskoka River to The Purser’s Cabin and enjoy a cup of free hot chocolate and cookies (while supplies last). At the end of the line, Santa is waiting to hear "your side of the story" before making you way back to the station. 

Please note: this will be a sensory-friendly ride, meaning it will be less crowded and less noisy. The whole experience is approximately 45 minutes.

Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the train departs to check in with Autism Ontario staff and to find seats. The train will leave sharply at 4:30 PM. 

Cost: $3.00/person (tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable). 

A limited number of tickets are available. Max of 5 tickets per family. 

Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain onsite.

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
