East: Ottawa - Build-A-Bear

** Registration opens July 30th 2025 at 12pm** 

Join Autism Ontario as you make your way through an interactive process and create your very own furry friend.
 

You’ll be greeted by a Bear Builder who will walk you through these 4 simple steps:
1. Choose Me: Pick 1 of 2 furry friends
2. Stuff Me: Before that stuffing goes in, remember to put in the special heart that holds your love and wishes 
3. Hug Me: Give your furry friend its first hug to make sure it’s stuffed just right.
5. Take me home and name me. Get ready for adventure with your new furry friend!

Need to know details: 
A limited number of tickets are available. Max of 3 children tickets per family. No Exceptions. Bears are for children only. 

Cost: $5 per ticket (children only). Free parent/caregiver ticket. No refunds.
Parking: Free

Families will check in with an Autism Ontario member the day of the event.

Sensory Friendly Accommodations: 
• Dimmed lighting
• Little to no music playing in the store

What is included with my ticket?

1 furry friend and a Birth Certificate.

What happens if I require more than 3 tickets?

Due to the unique opportunity of this event and to offer it to as many families as possible, 
We have a strict 1 ticket per child with a max of 3 tickets per family maximum. No Exceptions

What if my child changes their mind about their furry friend?

We will do our best to accommodate your family on the day of the event however, we cannot guarantee that other choices will be available.  

Can I Add sound or scents? 
The Sound Machine and scents will not be available during the event, but you can go into any Build-A-Bear after the event to purchase these.
