West – Stratford- Relaxed Performance of Annie

Come and join Autism Ontario as we partner with the Stratford Festival for a relaxed performance of, Annie!

Annie has reigned as one of the world's most beloved family musicals since its original six-year Broadway run. Annie Bennett is the iconic mop-topped orphan who knows the sun will come out tomorrow for her, no matter how dark it gets today. (Even if "today" is under the domain of Miss Hannigan, the caretaker of the orphanage and an over-the-top misopedist.) 

When Annie and her scrappy dog, Sandy, are taken in by the secretary of the billionaire Daddy Warbucks, the girl's lifelong search to find her birth parents sets off a chain of wacky, heartwarming adventures.

What is a relaxed performance?

Relaxed performances (RPs) aim to meet the needs of autistic and other neurodiverse people and people with disabilities, while also being suitable for families or first-time theatregoers.

RPs foster a casual approach to the traditional theatre experience, rethinking expectations for audience members in a performance space. Within this relaxed space, people are welcome to move around, make noise or step out to a quiet area. RP modifies lighting and sound, in addition to consulting people with disabilities, to ensure everyone feels welcome and safe. Babes in arms (children aged two and under) are also welcome to our relaxed performances.

Cost: $10.00 per person

Limit of 6 tickets per family

Ticket Pick Up – Will be from 1:00pm – 2:00pm from the Autism Ontario Staff.

Performance time is 2:00pm sharp.

Please plan travel time accordingly.
