Central East – Whitby – Caregiver Clay Hand building workshop

Registration opens April 3 at 12:00 pm. Priority will be given to caregivers who did not attend this workshop in January.
This hands-on workshop is perfect for caregivers to explore their creativity while crafting a unique, ceramic bowl.
You’ll start with slabs of clay, ready for you to transform into a personalized bowl. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll shape and assemble your mug using fundamental hand-building techniques. Once your bowl is formed, you’ll have the chance to decorate it using vibrant underglazes. Our instructor will offer tips and inspiration, ensuring your design is as unique as you’d like.
After the workshop 4Cats will carefully glaze each bowl with food safe and microwave safe glazes to preserve your artwork and ensure long-lasting durability. You will return 2 weeks later to pick up your finished piece.
This special place allows us to connect with other caregivers, relax, socialize, share stories and have FUN! This will be a small group with a chance to chat with other caregivers, to make friendships and support each other in your journey. Autism Ontario staff will also be present and available to chat about supports.
Please register for this event, as spaces are limited. This event is open for registration to caregivers of autistic individuals. Limit 2 caregivers per family. This is a caregiver event and not suitable for children.
Registration: $15.00/caregiver. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
Once your registration is successful, you will receive an automatic confirmation. If not received, please check your "junk" or your "other" box. If in doubt contact your area administrator at centraleast@autismontario.com
