Maple Hill Farm, located in Hanmer, ON, has put together a fun maple-filled day including many different activities. The following is the schedule put together by Maple Hill Farm:
-A guided walk in our maple tree bush describing how maple water was collected in the past with buckets and how it’s collected now with the tubing system.
-A visit to the first sugar shack built in the early 1900s.
-A guided tour of the new sugar house, where we explain how the maple water is concentrated and then processed to make the sweet syrup.
-Learn how we bottle the syrup and make maple products such as maple butter and soft maple candy.
-The tour ends with maple taffy tasting.
