Join Autism Ontario and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority at Tommy Thompson Park for a Turtle Tally. Scales Nature Park will be bringing live animals for us to meet!

Meet some of Ontario’s native turtle species! Local turtles face a variety of conservation challenges, especially in urban areas. While ecologists are doing their best to help, there is still much to learn about this cryptic species, and community scientists are at the forefront of these efforts.

After an interactive presentation where participants will meet live turtles, we’ll go outside on a guided hike to learn more about how we can become community scientists to help turtles in their own habitat.

This event will take place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather. You will be notified if the event needs to be canceled due to extreme weather.
