Toronto Region – Autistic Adults Drama Program
** Registration opens April 17th 2025 12pm**

Autism Ontario partners with Dramatherapist Nicolas Bezier, to bring autistic adults a drama program that incorporates aspects of art therapy. We’ll explore the mediums of theatre and body expression through small exploratory games.
This is not a typical acting class. By setting up a relaxing and safe environment, everyone is invited to discover their creative potential, but also to connect with their own sensitivity. It is an exploration into imagination where there is no right or wrong way to proceed What is important is the journey, not the destination. Everyone approaches this exploration from where they are and is invited to resonate with what seems most fair to them. By respecting all the rules of benevolence, which is essential to the successful outcome of the workshop, each participant relies on the strengths of the group to create. We are in an approach of artistic mediation. The internal maturation is done afterwards, in the subconscious. The participants thus learn how to discover themselves, better recognize and verbalize their emotions. Their relationship with the other people is much improved.
