The Journey to Adulthood Discussion Workshop (for parents and caregivers of autistic youth ages 16-20).  

A series of six discussions featuring topics relevant to the transition from youth to adulthood. Each session includes discussion and resources around specific topics on the journey to adulthood. Wednesdays, 7:00-830PM. May 1 - June 5, 2024.  

IMPORTANT: This session is limited to parents and caregivers of youth (ages 16-20) who are currently in secondary school. 

The Journey to Adulthood Discussion Workshop is a virtual workshop open to parents and caregivers province-wide. The workshop will be presented via a virtual platform (Zoom). Participants will need access to the internet and a laptop/tablet/cell phone with video and speaker capacity.

Topics will include:

Funding (as of age 18); Consent, capacity, and legal concerns; Post-secondary options; Employment, Advocacy, Mental health. 

Registration is limited. 

This workshop is facilitated by Jane McLaren, Youth Transition Specialist, and Stacey Feldt, Youth Transition Resource Specialist with Autism Ontario.
