Toronto Region - Turtle Tally (age 6+)

Join Autism Ontario and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority at Tommy Thompson Park for a Turtle Tally.
Ontario’s native turtle species face a variety of conservation challenges, especially in urban areas. While ecologists are doing their best to help, there is still much to learn about this cryptic species, and community scientists are at the forefront of these efforts.
We'll discuss the threats to Ontario’s turtles, the creative strategies conservationists are using to support turtles, and what you can do as community scientists to help at-risk turtles!
This event will take place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather. You will be notified if the event needs to be canceled due to extreme weather.
Program Location: Tommy Thompson Park (1 Leslie St, Toronto)
Date: Saturday June 8th 2024
Time: 12:30pm to 3pm
Registration cost: $5 per person.
Once registered and paid, refunds will not be issued.
Autism Ontario does not offer transfer-of-care. Caregivers must attend and remain on-site with their child.
