North Region – Virtual Four-Day Safety at Home Course (Youth Ages 9-12)

Autism Ontario is pleased to offer online safety courses facilitated by Safety Tree Canada.

Join us for the Safety at Home Course on July 11-14, 2022 from 5:30-7:00pm.

This program helps children gain confidence and skills to stay at home alone successfully. This safety program is designed for children aged 9 through 12 years old.

Safety and awareness are the common themes in this program. All information is current and reflects what today’s children are facing when home alone. Each session will include interactive discussion, games, videos and hands-on learning followed by at-home learning with family.

All Safety Tree instructors must go through in depth training and are qualified to work within the local School Boards either as trained Teachers, Developmental Service Workers, Educational Assistants or Early Childhood Educators. They have up-to-date police checks and First Aid/CPR training.

Manuals and certificates will be delivered to your home address, so please ensure we have your up-to-date information. Your address, name, and phone number will be shared with them for the purpose of delivery.

In order to participate in this event, you will need to be able to access the ZOOM platform; a link will be emailed to all registered participants the day before the event.      

The event is for residents of the North region only.
