Autism Ontario is offering a 6-week, in-person employment program called Autism Career Connections in both Windsor and Ottawa, Ontario in 2026. This program offers opportunities for Autistic adults to learn and practice communication skills. This will be done through discussion and activities. Participants will learn what to expect when looking for or starting a new job. Participants will practice in-person and virtual interviews.
An Autism Ontario staff will contact you using the email you enter on this form to share details with you about this in-person 6-week course. They will ask you questions like:
What are your goals for joining this program?
What kind of work or career are you interested in? (It’s okay if you’re not sure yet.)
Have you worked or volunteered before? If yes, what did you do?
What are some things you’re really good at or enjoy doing?
How do you like to learn? (e.g., step-by-step, hands-on, written instructions, visual aids)
What helps you feel comfortable and supported when learning something new?
Do you prefer working on your own, with a partner, or in a small group?
Have you ever written a resume or cover letter before?
Have you ever done a job interview? If yes, how did it go?
What would you like more help with: resumes, interviews, understanding workplace culture, something else?
What can we do to help you feel safe and respected during the program?

Where: 2 locations, Windsor and Ottawa, ON
What Autistic adult participants require to attend:
Transportation to and from either Windsor or Ottawa location (live in Windsor or Ottawa).
Bring and be able to use their own laptop or tablet during the course.
