Online applications for Autism Ontario Education Scholarships 2020 are now open! Each year, Autism Ontario awards scholarships to outstanding students entering their first year of a post-secondary program throughout Ontario. This year we have made it easier to apply online.
We will be accepting online applications until July 17, 2020. Please note that we are not able to process mailed-in applications at this time as our offices are closed due to Covid-19.
Please read the descriptions of each of the scholarships. You may apply to the scholarship that best fits you by clicking on the button at the end of the description. Please note that the required documents for each scholarship are listed on each online application.
The Eleanor Ritchie Education Scholarship is for individuals on the autism spectrum entering the first year of a post-secondary program. The Eleanor Ritchie Education Scholarship was named after Eleanor Ritchie, a longstanding member of Autism Ontario. Since 2003, 132 Eleanor Ritchie Education scholarships have been awarded to students across Ontario.
The Jeanette Holden Education Scholarship is for siblings of a person on the autism spectrum who are entering the first year of a post-secondary program. The Jeanette Holden Education Scholarship was named after Dr. Jeanette Holden, a sibling of an individual with ASD, in recognition of her dedication and contributions to ASD research. Since 2003, 87 Jeanette Holden scholarships have been awarded to students across Ontario.
The McDonald Family Education Scholarship is for children of a parent on the autism spectrum who are entering the first year of a post-secondary program. Autism Ontario’s newest scholarship is named after Carole Ann MacDonald and her family. Ms. MacDonald is the first member of the Board of Directors of Autism Ontario who has a diagnosis of ASD.
