Central West – Family Pickleball in Cambridge
Families from around the Central West region are invited to join our Pickleball event to learn the game, have a fun day and meet other families from the surrounding area.
Pickleball is a paddle sport in which players hit a hollow plastic ball over a low net. Similar to badminton or tennis but on a smaller scale. For years, it was popular with seniors, but recently children, teens, young adults and those with special needs have discovered this fun and versatile sport.
The afternoon will include an instructional segment as well as game play. Everything you need to play will be supplied and the program will be led by a professional pickleball coordination team. This event is designed for beginner and novice players. Led by experienced instructors, it focuses on teaching the essential skills required to play pickleball, covering the basics such as proper grips, paddle positions, and serving techniques.
There is a café in the Pickleball area, and we will be providing some snacks. There is also a restaurant on site should you want to fuel up prior or stay for family dinner at the full serviced restaurant.
