Central: The Museum-March Break
Region: This event is exclusive to families in the Central West region. These include Halton, Peel, Waterloo, & Wellington.
A limited number of tickets are available. Max of 5 tickets per family. If your immediate family is larger, please email Jason@autismontario.com after you are registered.
The Museum would like to invite Autism Ontario families to visit anytime during the March break.
The Museum is a new kind of experiential museum. It is a premier cultural destination dedicated to presenting fresh content from around the globe in unique and immersive ways designed to showcase art & technology at play.
Families will be able to explore exhibits:
Frame of Mind | An Illusion Experience
features 29 hand-painted 3D scenes that let you step into many different worlds. The paintings are in the style of “trompe l’oeil,” a French term that literally translates to “deceives the eye.” The painting scenes appear to be popping out of the walls, coming to life. And when you pose with these paintings, you can become part of the scene, too.
The EYEPOOL content- Iyinisiwin
Iyinisiwin is a Cree word meaning intelligence, wisdom, and knowledge. This fully immersive, digital experience will challenge visitors to think about what intelligence is; to consider that we are not a parasite on the land or a master over it, but rather in a relationship with it.
WARNING: Flashing lights and music are used during this exhibit. Please contact Jason@autismontario.com if you have any questions.
ThePlayGround exhibition brings back several permanent interactives families know and love, as well as some brand-new unique experiences.
