Central East - Oshawa - Family Swim at Camp Samac Outdoor Pool

Come and join Autism Ontario Central East Region for a fun-filled afternoon of swimming at the Camp Samac Outdoor Pool. Families will get the pool to themselves for 2 hours and have a chance to swim and meet other families. This event is open for registration to Autistic Children and Adults and their families.

Important Details:

Please note that this is NOT a swim lesson. Adults MUST accompany and assist their children in and out of the pool. All riders must be 1.065 m (42 in) tall to ride the water slide. 

6 years old and under: 
Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 14 years+ who is responsible for their direct supervision. (Maximum of 2 children per guardian).
An adult must always be always at arm’s length of their child in the water with a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children.

Children 7 to 9 years of who are non-swimmers must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or designate (caregiver) who is at least 14 years of age and is responsible for their direct supervision, with a maximum of 2 children for each parent or guardian. Children 7 to 9 years of age who are able to pass the facility swim test may be admitted to the pool unaccompanied. Adults and/or caregivers must be available to go into the pool with any children who do not pass the swim test. If there are no adults or caregivers, the children will not be able to participate in the pool rental. 
 

All participants must follow the pool rules and regulations.  

This event is intended for families in the Central East Region (Peterborough, Durham, Simcoe, York, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland, Grey Bruce). Priority will be given to families in this region. If you register and live outside this region, your registration may be cancelled.

Please note we strive to offer tickets to as many families as we can, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we are able to share those tickets with other families.
