Join Autism Ontario at Magnus Theatre’s Relaxed Performance of Mama’s Country Record Collection. 

"Mama’s Country Record Collection is a jukebox musical featuring top-ten country hits from the 1960s and 70s. Conceived and written by Magnus Theatre artistic director Thom Currie, this wonderful show has set box office records at theatres across Canada and returns to Magnus after a sold-out production in 2017.  This all-new production, reimagined for the Magnus In The Park Outdoor Theatre, stars Danny Johnson and Samantha Piper.  Playing from July 6-29, Mama’s Country Record Collection will “have you singing, clapping and foot tapping along in spite of yourself.” (Port Stanley News)

“This Relaxed Performance is designed to welcome patrons who may benefit from a less restricted audience environment. Patrons of all abilities are welcome, including but not limited to those with intellectual or learning disabilities, sensory processing conditions, dementia, or autism. There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement within the auditorium, and some minor production changes may be made to reduce the intensity of light, sound, and other potentially startling effects. A low-sensory area will be accessible if the performance becomes overwhelming. Babes in arms and service animals are also welcome to our relaxed performance. Relaxed Performance Consultant Rachel Marks has been working with our staff and creative team to present this event which we hope will be the first of many Relaxed Performance opportunities hosted on our stages.” For more information about Magnus Theatre click HERE.
