Provincial – Financial Planning: Presented in Mandarin

Community Living York South and Autism Ontario, in partnership with Michael Tang, CFA present Financial Planning for Parents/Caregivers of Children/Youth with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism.  This workshop will be delivered in Mandarin.

In this workshop we will:
• talk about various financial needs and concerns when planning for you child/youth 
• identify financial goals
• set and prioritize financial goals
• discuss some tax related considerations 
• review estate related topics, such as wills, power of attorney (POA) and Henson Trusts
• provide an introduction to the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP)

Presenter:  Michael Tang, CFA

Michael finished his MBA from University of Toronto Rotman School of Management in the mid-1990’s and started his career in financial services industry. Michael received his CFA designation in 2000.  From the mid-1990’s to 2001, Michael worked in several areas of RBC Financial Group including Dominion Securities, Personal/Commercial banking, Royal Trust, Global Securities Services, and RBC Capital Markets.  Starting 2001, Michael joined Edward Jones as a financial advisor providing clients with a wide range of financial planning services. Michael specialized in financial/estate planning for families with special needs/disabled family members.  

Starting 2018, Michael has been a contributing guest speaker for Community Living York South workshop in various financial planning topics.

Michael can speak fluent English, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese Chinese.
