Central East - Phelpston - Elmvale Jungle Zoo

Central East Region families are invited to join us for an exciting and educational outdoor adventure at the Elmvale Jungle Zoo. Spend the day with us and walk along shaded and winding trails, view majestic white lions and tigers, delight in the playful antics of monkeys and lemurs, watch the mischievous baby animals play and admire the beauty of rare and exotic birds and other wildlife in the natural surroundings of the zoo's 30 acres.

Elmvale Jungle Zoo is an up-close experience for guests of all ages to see, interact, enjoy and admire.  We encourage families to pack a picnic lunch where you can meet and connect with other families in your community. We will have a reserved area where bags, lunches, coolers and wagons can be left while going through the zoo.

This event is open for registration to autistic children, autistic adults and their family. Maximum 5 tickets per family. 

Important Information:

Families must check in with Autism Ontario Staff between 9:00 AM - and 9:30 AM to receive their tickets. Our group will enter the Zoo at 9:30 AM. If you arrive after 9:30 AM your tickets will be forfeited. Please plan your travel accordingly.

Cost: $5.00/person. Maximum 5 tickets per family.

This event is rain or shine. However, if there is continuous rain/thunderstorms/extreme heat that prohibits the zoo from opening that day you will be notified by email. 

Once your registration is successful, you will receive an automatic confirmation.  If not received, please check your "junk" or your "other" box.  If in doubt, contact your area administrator at centraleast@autismontario.com 

Registered participants will receive an email closer to the event date with any and all updates pertaining to this event. If you have not received an email, be sure to check your spam/junk folders.

Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain on-site.

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.

This program is generously funded by our partners at Charitable Gaming Community Good through charitable gaming fundraising at Delta Bingo Barrie. It is intended to support autistic people and their families in Simcoe County and those that live outside of this area may have their registration cancelled.
