Central East, Whitby – Adult Social Group: Virtual Reality and Gaming (autistic adults 18 yrs+)

Come out for a fun and relaxed evening with other autistic adults at Xr Fit Studio.

This 2-hour event gives participants the opportunity to explore a wide variety of experiences at their own pace. Whether someone wants to try VR for the first time, enjoy arcade games, solve puzzles, or simply take in the space, there will be something for everyone.

Participants can choose from experiences such as science and robots, space and ocean exploration, rock climbing, immersive laser maze activities, magical castles, job training simulations, tennis in space, and more.

Beyond VR and AR, the space also includes gaming PC stations, an interactive projection floor with floor games, and retro arcade machines with over 100 classic arcade games. 

This event is for Autistic adults (18+) who attend events and programs independently, without careperson support, as well as for Autistic adults (18+) who require a careperson(s) to support them. Autism Ontario does not provide transfer-of-care or careperson support for its programs.

If an Autistic person requires support to attend, the careperson is expected to remain on site to provide support as needed during the event or activity. If accommodations are needed, please inquire by emailing katherine.kawadri@autismontario.com. 

Cost: $5.00/person. Once registered and paid, refunds will not be issued. 

Note: All participants are required to sign a Code of Conduct annually.

Registered adults will receive an email closer to the event date with ticket information and any updates about this event. If you have not received an email, check your spam/junk folders. 

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many participants as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other participants.
