Central East – Newmarket – Caregiver Social: Cooking Class

Get ready to chop, slurp, and connect!

Join us for an evening just for caregivers! A relaxed social event centered around good food and great conversation.

This hands-on cooking class will be facilitated by Chef Kirk, who will guide you step-by-step through preparing the meal, followed by a shared dinner and conversation with fellow caregivers. Fill your hearts and bellies while building community and connection.

This special place allows us to connect with other caregivers, relax, socialize, share stories and have FUN! This will be a small group with a chance to chat with other caregivers, to make friendships and support each other in your journey. Autism Ontario staff will also be present and available to chat about supports.

This program is generously funded by our partners at Charitable Gaming Community Good through charitable gaming fundraising at Bingo World and Gaming Richmond Hill. It is intended to support autistic people and their families in York Region and those that live outside of this area may have their registration cancelled.

Please register for this event, as spaces are limited. This event is open for registration to caregivers of autistic individuals. Limit 2 caregivers per family. 

All our caregiver events are intended exclusively for caregivers. These gatherings provide an opportunity to meet and connect with others in a space where you can focus entirely on yourself. This event is not set up for children to attend.

Cost: $10.00. No refunds.

After registering, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or food allergies, so we can plan accordingly.

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
