Central West - Waterloo - Micro:Bit Makers Club

Join us for the Micro:Bit Makers Club with the University of Wateloo Engineering Outreach ESQ Team.
This is a brand new 4-week adventure in creative coding and hands-on tech! Across four sessions, we will explore building interactive projects, experimenting with sensors and LEDs, and designing simple AI‑enhanced creations that bring ideas to life. Participants will learn step‑by‑step, try out creative challenges, and develop confidence with coding and digital making.
Everyone gets their own Micro:bit to keep, and no previous experience is needed!
This program is intended for autistic youth ages 10-14. *No prior coding experience is needed - just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
Parking Fees will be covered by the University.
Location: University of Waterloo, 200 University Ave W, Waterloo, ON N2L 3G5
Dates: Thursday, May 14 to June 4, 2026
Times: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Registration Fee: $10 (once registered, there can be no refunds)
*This is not a transfer of care program. Caregivers are required to stay onsite.
