Autism Ontario is excited to partner with COOKSMART to offer an engaging 4-week cooking program!

About us:
COOKSMART helps kids and teens learn real-life kitchen skills, try new foods, and feel proud of what they can make. From holiday camps and birthday parties to in-school workshops, our programs blend nutrition, safety, and fun. We’ve taught 28,000+ young cooks across the GTA and partner with schools to support Healthy Schools goals. Parents love the independence it sparks; educators love the curriculum fit.
About the workshop series:
COOKSMART is excited to partner with Autism Ontario to deliver a hands-on cooking class series for families. This program will introduce participants to nutrition through safe food preparation, cooking techniques and various food-related activities to encourage skill development, independence, and confidence in the kitchen.
(All recipes will be nut-free and halal.)
We will follow a menu of fun, easy, and healthy vegetarian dishes, incorporating diverse flavours and using basic cooking techniques:
Week 1 (April 14): Tortilla Fun Faces
Week 2 (April 21): Rainbow Fruit Parfaits
Week 3 (April 28): Protein Power Balls
Week 4 (May 5): Hearty Veggie Lentil Soup
Time: 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Cost: $20.00/person. Once registered and paid, refunds will not be issued.
Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain onsite.
Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
