Central East – Newmarket – Milestones & Moments

Milestones & Moments is a welcoming program for parents and children ages 1 to 6 years who may need a little extra support with early learning and growth. Each session offers play-based activities adapted to your child’s interests and abilities, while parents engage in a supportive environment, connect with other families through shared experiences, and discover playful ways to support their child’s growth at home.

Children will explore hands-on activities at their own pace, while parents and caregivers engage in supportive conversation with EarlyON facilitators and each other. Autism Ontario will be on-site with resources and ready to answer any of your questions. This welcoming space encourages social, emotional, and physical development in a way that respects each child’s unique needs.

Who it's for: 
Children aged 1–6 and their parents or caregivers who may benefit from a low-stimulation setting.

What to expect: 
• Dimmed lights and soft sounds 
• Smaller group sizes 
• Flexible, child-led play opportunities 
• Sensory tools and calming materials 
• A supportive, judgment-free atmosphere 

Registration required. Spaces are limited to ensure a comfortable environment for all participants. 
Maximum 2 caregivers per family.

Time: 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Cost:Free

Parking: Please park in the municipal parking lot, on the west side of the school. To enter, come through the East main door (Adult Education centre) at the front of the school, past the door into the school. Look for our EarlyON sign.

Once your registration is successful, you will receive an automatic confirmation.  If you haven't received it, please check your "junk" or "other" box.  If in doubt, contact your area administrator at centraleast@autismontario.com 

Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain on-site. 

Registered families will receive an email closer to the event date with any and all updates pertaining to this event. If you have not received an email, be sure to check your spam/junk folders. 

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
