Central East – Richmond Hill – Family Swim at the Wave Pool

Registration opens February 6 at 12:00 pm

Enjoy yourself at the wave pool!

Families are invited to play in the waves at the only indoor wave pool within York Region! It features a warm water small pool and a thrilling 100 ft water slide with rainbow effect, translucent sections and a step-out finish.

Registration is required. This event is for autistic individuals and their family. 

A limited number of tickets are available—a maximum of 6 tickets per family. 

This program is intended for families in York Region, made possible by our generous partners at Bingo World and Gaming Richmond Hill. If you register and live outside of York region your registration may be cancelled.

Cost: $3.00/person. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Important Details:

Please note that this is NOT a swim lesson. Adults MUST accompany and assist their children in and out of the pool.

All participants must follow the pool rules and regulations.  

Children 5 years of age and under (0-5 yrs.) 
• Must be accompanied in the water by a parent or adult guardian at least 16 years old
• The parent or guardian is responsible for the child's direct supervision and must be within reach of the child at all times
• Maximum two children per parent or adult guardian

Children 6-9 years of age
• Must be accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian at least 16 years old for Wave Swims
• The parent or guardian is responsible for the child's direct supervision and must be able to give immediate assistance if needed
• Maximum four children per parent or guardian

Children 10-15 years of age 
• On Deck supervision by a parent or guardian at least 16 years old  
• Maximum of 8 children per adult

*** Lifeguards DO NOT count towards these supervision requirements. If inadequate supervision is provided, the number of swimmers permitted will be limited based on the number of supervising adults in bathing suits ***
 

Registered families will receive an email closer to the event date with all updates about this event. If you have not received an email, be sure to check your spam/junk folders.

Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain on-site.

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
