Central East – Peterborough - Parent & Child Cooking Class (3-8 years)

Get ready to chop, mix, and taste your way to fun in our Parent & Child Cooking Class: Chop Your Own Veggies + Design Your Own Taco!

In this hands-on cooking experience, facilitated by chef Lisa Dixon, parents and kids will work side by side to create their own delicious soft corn shell tacos filled with fresh veggies, juicy tomatoes, zesty limes, and your choice of protein. Together, we'll learn how protein helps build strong bodies, why fresh vegetables are so valuable for our health, and how cooking together can be a great way to connect as a family.

Each family will:
Chop and prep fresh ingredients safely and confidently
Learn about proteins and their role in nutrition
Assemble and design their own colourful, healthy tacos
Taste and enjoy their homemade creations!

NOTE: Parent & Child classes are for autistic children ages 3 to 8 accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Each parent and child duo is one registration. Maximum 2 children per family.

The class will consist of an introduction, hands-on cooking instruction, and eating the meal we prepared together.

Cost: $5.00/child. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain on-site.

Registered families will receive an email closer to the event date with any and all updates pertaining to this event. If you have not received an email, be sure to check your spam/junk folders.

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
