South – Niagara on the Lake – “A Christmas Carol” Relaxed Performance Shaw Festival

**Registration opens October 23, 2025 at 10am**
Autism Ontario is proud to partner with the Shaw Festival to offer families the opportunity to attend a relaxed performance of, “A Christmas Carol”.
The magic of Christmas returns as does the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge! A Christmas Carol is the gift that keeps
on giving and is the perfect annual reminder of what the Christmas spirit is all about.
What is a relaxed performance?
Relaxed performances (RPs) aim to meet the needs of autistic and other neurodiverse people and people with disabilities, while also being suitable for families or first-time theatregoers.
RPs foster a casual approach to the traditional theatre experience, rethinking expectations for audience members in a
performance space. Within this relaxed space, people are welcome to move around, make noise or step out to a quiet area. RP modifies lighting and sound, in addition to consulting people with disabilities, to ensure everyone feels welcome and safe. Babes in arms (children aged two and under) are also welcome to our relaxed performances.
