Central West – Adapted Dance Program in Brampton Ages 8-14

Children ages 8-14 are invited to attend 6-weeks of private dance classes in Peel at A New Daei Dance Studio to learn a variety of dance styles, including jazz, hip hop, and contemporary.

This is a program for autistic individuals who are able to follow group instructions independently. *Individuals must be able to participate without parental/guardian assistance.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, fitted clothing. Indoor running shoes are a requirement. This program is open to individuals of all abilities. If participants require additional support, a parent or support worker is encouraged to attend the class.

Note:  Caregivers must remain on site.

Students will:
• Work on improving and developing skills, including gross motor skills 
• Participate in dance games to concrete movement techniques
• Be encouraged to communicate using both verbal and non-verbal cues 
• Work towards forming learned dance techniques into comfortable, repetitive choreography

Location:  A New DAEI Dance School. Inside the Art of Dance Centre, 1 Nelson Street West, Lower Level (Unit 11B & C) Brampton, Ontario, L6X 1B6
Time: Saturdays from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Dates: September 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28, 2023
