Scholarships

Autism Ontario will be accepting online-only applications for scholarships from April 1, 2024 - April 30, 2024. Successful candidates will be chosen after that date, and all applicants will be notified of the status of their application by June 7, 2024. Each year, Autism Ontario awards scholarships to outstanding students entering their first year of a post-secondary program across Ontario. ACT Learning Centre is a therapy centre founded to provide evidence based, innovative and leading edge assessment and intervention for children, youth, and adults with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities or developmental delays. We provide applied behaviour analysis (ABA), speech language pathology, occupational therapy, Early Start Denver Model, and the Play Project. Evidence based therapies are offered by ACT’s highly trained staff in our clinic or in your home. ***Please Note: This provider has listed Physiotherapy Services on their website, which has not been verified by Autism Ontario. Thursday Night Respite/Social Skills Program
Saturday Respite/Social Skills Program

Active Lifestyle Autism runs a weekly Thursday night respite/social skills program and a Saturday Respite Program(twice a month). In this program we go out to restaurants for dinner on Thursdays and Lunch on Saturdays. We spend time in the community participating in various activities, some of which are: bowling, mini golf, outdoor games, nature walks, occasional movie nights, etc.

The focus of this program is on promoting a healthy, active lifestyle within a group environment.
There is currently one spot available on Thursdays and a few spots available on Saturdays.

The program is based out of Richmond Hill and serves clients across York Region from Grade 7 to adult ages.
