Children and Youth Programs

F.A.S.T (Fun, Active, Social Team!) Club: For children and youth with ASD (Ages 5-12) Participants will be divided into teams, and each night will have a “weekly goal” to meet (i.e. waiting my turn, sharing with friends, saying thank you, etc). They will participate in different stations (fine motor focus, gross motor focus, and sensory & exploration) which will seek to offer many opportunities for participants to interact with one another socially, and build their peer relationships. Adult Supports in Niagara Region

Our Regional Adult Social Club. This group is for adults 18+ who do not require 1:1 support. Monthly events are organized with the goal of having adults with ASD meet fellow members of their community and have fun taking part in events tailored to their interests.     Est – Programme d’apprentissage de la peinture à Brockville- Enfants (en anglais)-5-10 ans

    Description de l'événement

    Description du programme : Ce programme est spécialement conçu pour les enfants et les adolescent.e.s autistes, et leurs aidant.e.s. Fun Art leur fera explorer diverses techniques de peinture acrylique dans un environnement sûr et enrichissant. Chaque semaine, les participant.e.s rapporteront un nouveau chef-d'œuvre à la maison, dont tout le matériel et toutes les instructions auront été fournis par Fun Art. Les jeunes qui ont besoin d'aide pourront compter sur le soutien d’animateurs.trices qui les accompagneront dans leur cheminement artistique, afin de promouvoir une expérience sociale positive et un sentiment d'inclusion.

    Il ne s'agit pas d'un programme de transfert de garde, les parents doivent rester sur place pour assister leurs enfants

    Programme pour enfants 5-10 ans :

    Première semaine : Les partcipant.e.s s’immergeront dans le monde de l'acrylique en explorant le concept de ligne d'horizon pour créer un simple paysage marin ponctué d’un lointain voilier. L'accent sera mis sur les techniques fondamentales : tenue du pinceau, application de la peinture, respect des instructions de base.

     

    Deuxième semaine : En tablant sur ce qu’ils ont appris dans le premier cours, les enfants perfectionneront leurs habiletés en créant un éclatant arrière-plan hivernal pour un ours blanc.

     

    Troisième semaine : Le thème de cette semaine continuera d’élargir le répertoire de techniques des enfants en les invitant à peindre une scène sous-marine mettant en vedette un hippocampe.

    Région du Nord – Rencontre virtuelle intergalactique pour la Journée Star Wars chez Hyperspace Hangout ( en anglais)

    Description de l'événement

    Le 4 mai, à l’occasion de la Journée Star Wars, Autisme Ontario vous propose de vivre une expérience intergalactique au Hyperspace Hangout. Tout en demeurant dans le confort de votre foyer, vous pourrez plonger dans l’univers Star Wars au moyen d’activités amusantes, de jeux-questionnaires et de trousses de bricolage. Tous les Jedis, les Siths et les droïdes ne voudront pas manquer ce party Zoom en ligne.

    Prix de présence: Les participant.e.s à notre rencontre intergalactique virtuelle auront la possibilité de remporter un prix de présence. C’est la Force qui décidera qui repartira avec le trésor interstellaire. Vous devez être présent.e le jour de l'événement pour participer à ce concours.

    Concours d'écriture: Sortez vos sabres laser et canalisez la Force qui sommeille en vous! Nous organisons un concours d’écriture sur le thème Star Wars, qui vaudra une carte-cadeau intergalactique à un de nos écrivains Jedis.

    Concours de bricolage: Bricolez votre chemin vers la victoire avec notre trousse de bricolage spécialement conçue sur le thème Star Wars, ou encore soumettez un chef-d’œuvre que vous aurez fabriqué de vos mains. Que la Force soit avec vous  pour avoir la chance de remporter une carte-cadeau lorsque vous soumettrez vos œuvres.

    Directives pour participer au concours: Veuillez soumettre vos bricolages et vos récits au plus tard le 4 mai à 9 h 00 à caitlin.griffin@autismontario.com, pour que nous puissions les présenter durant l’activité sociale.

    Une trousse de bricolage sera livrée au domicile des 50 premières personnes à s’inscrire. Une trousse par enfant.

    Même si nous adorons partager vos récits et vos bricolages, durant la rencontre sociale nous nous concentrerons sur les activités et les aventures à thème Star Wars. N’ayez crainte, toutes les histoires et tous les bricolages seront présentés sur la page des médias sociaux de la région du Nord d'Autisme Ontario après l'activité. Les familles qui préfèrent que leurs créations ne soient pas diffusées sur les médias sociaux peuvent faire une demande en ce sens.
