Quarter Auction

Looking for a little online auction fun? ? Join us for the Autism Charity Quarter Auction from the comfort of your home! Auction paddles go on sale on August 21st, with the auction beginning on August 24th and wrapping up with live draws on August 30th. Children and Youth Programs

F.A.S.T (Fun, Active, Social Team!) Club: For children and youth with ASD (Ages 5-12) Participants will be divided into teams, and each night will have a “weekly goal” to meet (i.e. waiting my turn, sharing with friends, saying thank you, etc). They will participate in different stations (fine motor focus, gross motor focus, and sensory & exploration) which will seek to offer many opportunities for participants to interact with one another socially, and build their peer relationships. London Events

Christmas Decorating Contest: Put your decorating skills to the test and send us a picture of your best work for the chance to win a $5 gift card to Tim Hortons! We will share holiday craft ideas weekly-you decide which crafts to make and how many you'll do. Crafts will be shared on Nov 30, Dec. 7, and Dec 14 and winners will be announced Friday December 18th, with their craft posted on our Facebook page! Adult Supports in Niagara Region

Our Regional Adult Social Club. This group is for adults 18+ who do not require 1:1 support. Monthly events are organized with the goal of having adults with ASD meet fellow members of their community and have fun taking part in events tailored to their interests.     La région du Sud d’Autisme Ontario vous propose une baignade en famille à la piscine du centre MacBain!

    L’activité s’adresse aux enfants, aux adolescents et aux adultes autistes qui habitent la région du Sud, ainsi qu’à leurs familles et aidants.

    Il s’agit d’une activité privée qui est exclusivement  réservée aux familles d’Autisme Ontario inscrites. Les personnes inscrites auront accès pendant une heure au bassin récréatif. La piscine à corridors ne sera pas disponible aux autres groupes durant cette période.

    Prendre note

    Clients âgés de 6 ans et moins (bracelet rouge)
    • Doivent être directement surveillés à une longueur de bras par un parent, un aidant ou une personne responsable d’au moins 16 ans.
    • Doivent demeurer dans la partie peu profonde, à moins de réussir le test de natation permettant d’accéder aux corridors de natation.
    • Ratio maximum : 2 enfants/1 adulte


    Clients âgés de 7, 8 et 9 ans qui ne peuvent réussir le test de natation et moins (bracelet orange)

    • Doivent être directement surveillés par un parent, un aidant ou une personne responsable âgée d’au moins 16 ans.
    • Ratio maximum : 4 enfants/ 1 adulte

    Clients âgés de 7, 8 et 9 ans qui réussissent le test de natation pour le bassin récréatif (bracelet jaune)
    • Peuvent être admis sans la surveillance d’un aidant dans le bassin récréatif.
    • Test de natation pour le bassin récréatif : Pouvoir nager deux largeurs de bassin  confortablement et sans interruption.

    Clients âgés de 10 ans ou plus
    • Peuvent entrer dans la piscine sans la surveillance d’un aidant.
    • Les individus qui ne peuvent pas réussir le test de natation de l’établissement doivent demeurer dans la partie peu profonde. Cette exigence s’applique à tous les groupes qui utilisent les installations.

    Tenue de baignade
    La ville de Niagara Falls, en consultation avec le Service de santé publique, a déterminé ce qui constituait une tenue de baignade appropriée :
    -Tout utilisateur doit changer ses vêtements de ville pour un maillot de bain et/ou des vêtements propres servant exclusivement à la baignade.
    - Les baigneurs peuvent porter des chemises à manches longues ou des t-shirts, des pantalons et/ou des vêtements ethniques traditionnels. Ces vêtements doivent permettre à la personne de participer en toute sécurité aux programmes et être faits d’un tissu approprié aux piscines (pas de jeans, de pantalons de jogging, de coton ou de vêtements lourds). Les vêtements de couleur claire sont recommandés.
    - Les personnes qui n’ont pas fait entièrement l’apprentissage de la propreté doivent porter des couches de natation spécialisées ou des pantalons en caoutchouc bien ajustés.
