Our Partners

Autism Ontario achieves its mission through partnerships that help shape priorities and inform advocacy efforts aligned with our mission of creating a supportive and inclusive Ontario for autism. We collaborate with a variety of academic centres, hospitals, service providers, and non-profit organizations. This includes active partnerships and collaboration, expertise sharing and consultation, community engagement, and knowledge translation.

Mental Health Resources

Autism Ontario and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ontario Division are working together to provide opportunities for autistic adults in Ontario to gain knowledge, skills, and resources in mental health by offering Living Life to the Full for Autistic Adults 18+.

Autism Ontario and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ontario Division are working together alongside their community partners, the York ASD Partnership, SAAAC Autism Centre, and MacART, to provide opportunities for autistic adults and their families in Ontario to gain knowledge, skills, and resources in mental health through an initiative called Mental Health Matters. Mental Health Matters is a mental health promotion program which will offer the CMHA flagship program Living Life to the Full to support these distinct groups.

Strong Minds through Active Bodies

Strong Minds Through Active Bodies is a free online course for physical activity students, professionals, and people supporting autistic youth and adults to access physical activity programs and spaces. Participants who access this free course will learn about autism, neurodiversity, ableism, and autistic mental health. They will have access to crowd-sourced creative ideas to improve accessibility to community programs and physical activity for autistic youth and adults, and will have opportunities to contribute to a community of practice through discussion board posts and a written assignment

Celebrate the Spectrum School Giving Challenge

World Autism Day April 2, 2024 Help Autism Ontario celebrate World Autism Day! By holding your own school initiative in support of Autism Ontario, you will teach your students valuable lessons about community, giving, and inclusion by breaking down stigma about autism. Please note – All volunteers are required to submit a vulnerable sector check and complete volunteer training. Details will be sent following your application and successful interview. Volunteers attending our programs must be able to do so independently or be accompanied by a support person. Autism Ontario does not provide transfer-of-care for any of its in-person
