Autism Ontario partnered with an emerging Toronto artist to offer the opportunity to learn the art of acrylic pouring. Registration fee includes materials and canvases for two paintings.

Cubby Robot Friends Program (Age 8-13)
Sunday October 29, 10:00–11:30am, 12:00–1:30pm, and 2:00–3:30pm

Autism Ontario partners with Little Robot Friends. In this program, students will learn the basics of electronics and processing. Robot kits are not take home, but for those that choose to purchase, they are available for $50.

Join Autism Ontario at The Chef Upstairs Midtown location for a fun and interactive children’s cooking class. Junior chefs will enjoy a hands-on experience to learn new recipes, cuisines, and techniques in a social and welcoming environment.

Autism Ontario’s Chess Club is for children off all ages, catering to beginners and chess lovers alike. Chess offers a simple yet profound way for children to interact and bond in a meaningful way.

Child & Caregiver Photography Workshop Series
Sunday November 12, and December 3

Learn how to take better photos and see the world as a photographer in this fun, interactive, and collaborative series of photo workshops. Register for one class or register all four. Each class will cover camera basics, creative photography tips and techniques, and fun photo challenges.

Back-to-School: Helping Your Child Get Ready

Back to school is here. Transitioning back to routine and learning can be challenging for many families and autistic learners, making the preparation process even more important.

To help you and your family, we have compiled a list of resources to set you up for a successful school year.

This collection of resources aims to support caregivers in transitioning their child to school by building routines for success and supporting positive communication with their child’s school team.

Monarch House Parent & Tot Drop-In Group: Join Monarch House for fun and interactive play group, which includes music and activities led by a trained therapist. Click here to sign up for this Free group.

Free Developmental Screening Clinic: Monarch House is pleased to offer free developmental screening clinics, which includes a 15-minute service for parents to address questions and/or concerns regarding their child’s development. Click here to learn more.

Mastermind Toys now has sensory-friendly hours the third Sunday of every month from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm (except in their Bayview and Windermere stores, where it is from 12:00 – 1:00 pm) and the third Thursday of every month from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. Flyer for more information.
