At Spinnaker Psychological Services we specialize in childhood assessments; developmental, psycho-educational/diagnostic. Our training and experience are highly specialized in the areas of child development, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Intellectual Disability, Learning Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other social and emotional concerns, including anxiety, mood, and trauma. An Autism assessment may include components of a psycho-educational assessment while also looking in-depth at the individual's social communication skills, behaviours, and interests. Typically this involves some direct testing with the child, structured interviewing with the caregivers regarding their child's early development, as well as observation of the child's social and adaptive behaviour. Consultation, psycho-education and workshops are also available.
