Volunteer with the East Region

There are many opportunities to volunteer with Autism Ontario. Whether you are looking for something casual or something more committed, there is a volunteer role suited to you. Here are some of the ways you can volunteer with Autism Ontario: Administrative: help with mailings, thank you letters, etc. Events: we run events year-round, which require volunteers to keep them running smoothly Whether you want to lend a hand with administrative work, help with event planning, volunteer at an event, or sit on a committee, we encourage you to become a volunteer and help us raise awareness of Autism
Aspire Community & Developmental Services offers life skills coaching and empowerment programs to youth and young adults with developmental disabilities and autism. We strive to promote independence and build confidence in our clients as they begin or continue their transition to adulthood. We also provide caregiver support and education. Services can be provided in person and virtually.

Heather Sansom is a registered psychotherapist with experience and training in supporting higher functioning neurodiverse clients through talk and experiential psychotherapy methods. She is also a trained recreation therapist. Equine assisted therapy is available in the Stittsville/Ashton area. It does not require previous experience.

Marnie Loeb, registered Speech-Language Pathologist, established Motor Mouth Speech & Language in 2014. She strives to improve the lives of preschool and school-aged children who have difficulty communicating, reading, and writing. Marnie is continually delighted and amazed at what her clients can achieve with a little guidance and support along the way.

You will meet with Marnie in her home-based studio. The studio is a warm and inviting place for children, parents, siblings, and other caregivers. Within walking distance from downtown, Guelph, there is ample street parking right out front with easy access via public transit and the many walking/biking trails in the area. Marnie strives to provide you with a variety of treatment options to suit your needs – including online and group therapy, when appropriate.

A doctor's referral is not necessary and your insurance plan / OAP may cover the cost of part or all of the services provided.
