Our registered speech-language pathologists provide social learning group programs for families of children and teens who struggle with making and keeping friends despite having great language and strong thinking skills. All programs and parent only and parent- child sessions. We offer TalkAbility (ages 5-8), PEERS (ages 12-18) and our own unique PlayGreat play date coaching program for families of children who have completed TalkAbility. Parents learn to act as social coaches in all of our programs, which are about 2-4 months in length and focused on early and later friendship skills. All programs are offered virtually and available to families across Ontario. We are happy to collaborate with any other professionals your family is involved with.
Music therapy is a therapeutic service that is provided by an accredited music therapist (MTA), in which music is used as the primary tool in order to address clinical, non-musical goals for people of all ages and abilities. For example, these may include development and rehabilitation/training within cognitive, motor, speech/language, social, behavioural, emotional, and mental health domains.
