Camp Kodiak

Répertoire des services
Description des services offerts: Camp Kodiak is an integrated overnight summer camp for children and teens (6 to 18 years old) with and without learning disabilities, ADHD, and high-functioning ASD (formerly diagnosed as Asperger Syndrome). Our program provides a social skills program, academic tutoring (optional), and 50+ camp activities. We have a 2:1 camper-to-staff ratio around camp, and the ratio is 3:1 in each cabin group.
Our staff include many professionals from the fields of education, child care, social work and recreation. The rest of our staff are college and university students.
Campers and counsellors live together in comfortable log cabins that include washroom facilities with hot and cold running water, a toilet, sinks, and a shower.
All campers must be fully capable of independently looking after their daily care needs and personal hygiene routines. Campers must be able to manage a highly social and active overnight camp experience for 3 or 4 weeks at a time.
