Hollylynn Towie Scholarship

Open to Durham Residents Only Autism Ontario Central East is pleased to offer the Hollylynn Towie Scholarship Fund to students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Hollylynn Kathleen Towie was born on January 2, 1995. Hollylynn was diagnosed with mild autism and a developmental delay. As a child, Hollylynn struggled with peers in school and in her social life. Hollylynn was never discouraged from going to school or trying to make friends. Holly’s dream was to attend College after she graduated from High school. Holly’s dream would never be a reality as her life came to a tragic end during a

Tragiquement, Hollylynn et ses deux meilleurs amis sont décédés dans un incendie à Whitby le 29 avril 2012. Holly était autiste. Sa famille nous a accordé l’honneur de créer un fonds de bourses d’études en sa mémoire, et elle s’efforce année après année de recueillir de l’argent pour garnir le fonds. Autism Ontario and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ontario Division are working together to provide opportunities for autistic adults in Ontario to gain knowledge, skills, and resources in mental health by offering Living Life to the Full for Autistic Adults 18+.

Autism Ontario and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ontario Division are working together alongside their community partners, the York ASD Partnership, SAAAC Autism Centre, and MacART, to provide opportunities for autistic adults and their families in Ontario to gain knowledge, skills, and resources in mental health through an initiative called Mental Health Matters. Mental Health Matters is a mental health promotion program which will offer the CMHA flagship program Living Life to the Full to support these distinct groups.
