Adult Supports in Niagara Region

Our Regional Adult Social Club. This group is for adults 18+ who do not require 1:1 support. Monthly events are organized with the goal of having adults with ASD meet fellow members of their community and have fun taking part in events tailored to their interests. Autism Ontario - Simcoe County Chapter is fortunate to receive community support from so many wonderful individuals and organizations. Here is a list of our recent donors and generous gift in kind funders: Granted our Chapter $2500 for our 2019 Ski/Snowboard Program at Mt St Louis! Kiwanis Club of Orillia donated $2000 to be used for our Social Skills Programming! Many thanks to the Catch the Ace committee in Angus for donating $5000 to our Chapter! Patchless MC 'Ride for Autism' raised over $16,500 in 2018! WW Huronia & Mapleview Locations Collected $9,000 in the month of April, 2019! ​ CIBC

Simcoe County New Diagnosis

You've just received a diagnosis of ASD for your child. Or you're on a waitlist for assessment. Or you suspect that your child may have autism. Now What? Empowerment through Learning & Connecting .. "Next Steps - A Resource Guide for Families" and "Future Steps" for those who have recently had a child diagnosed with autism are now available on our website. Over 45 agencies and services are listed to help parents and community partners navigate the programs and services for children with autism living in Simcoe County. Diagnosticians will now be able to direct parents to this easy to use guide

Children and Youth Programs

F.A.S.T (Fun, Active, Social Team!) Club: For children and youth with ASD (Ages 5-12) Participants will be divided into teams, and each night will have a “weekly goal” to meet (i.e. waiting my turn, sharing with friends, saying thank you, etc). They will participate in different stations (fine motor focus, gross motor focus, and sensory & exploration) which will seek to offer many opportunities for participants to interact with one another socially, and build their peer relationships. STARS (Social Training & Recreation Skills) For Teens and Adults with ASD ( Ages 13+) A recreational program
