FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Toronto, Ontario – April 27, 2021 - Autism Ontario and Crock A Doodle are partnering to raise funds for people on the autism spectrum in a fundraising event involving families across the province.

The “Dish it Up for Autism” event, in place now until April 30th, provides a creative and fun experience for families where participants of all ages paint pottery in the safety and convenience of their own homes, and then share them together online.

Proceeds from the event go to Autism Ontario.

“Crock A Doodle is so thrilled to be partnering with Autism Ontario... We have a lot of pride in providing a creative experience that is truly inclusive and fun for everyone,” said Annette Brennan, Crock A Doodle CEO. “Pottery painting is colourful, family friendly fun, for all ages and abilities.”

Dish it up for Autism is the latest in a series of successful collaborations between Autism Ontario and Cock-a-Doodle. In the past, individual studios have hosted special events for groups and chapters, run sensory friendly painting hours, held private classes, and provided at home painting kits.

“Autism Ontario has worked with a number of local Crock A Doodle locations to provide fun and creative take home pottery painting kits. These activities offer kids and parents a great creative outlet which is greatly needed during these challenging times,” says Andrea Armstrong, Autism Ontario, Events Specialist.

“Our painting kits were hand delivered by Crock A Doodle,” said a parent from our East Region Chapter. What beautiful, beautiful kits! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It will make our kids’ weekend!”

“We are excited to be able to support this important community agency through our Dish It Up for Autism fundraiser.” said Annette. “Each piece is as unique, individual, and beautiful as the person who painted it. “
