Applications for Autism Ontario’s 2022 education scholarships are now open!

The Eleanor Ritchie Education Scholarship is named after Eleanor Ritchie, a long-standing member of Autism Ontario, in recognition of her dedication and support for individuals on the autism spectrum. Who can apply: individuals on the autism spectrum.

The Jeanette Holden Education Scholarship is named after Dr. Jeanette Holden, a sibling of a person on the spectrum, in recognition of her dedication and contributions to autism research. Who can apply: siblings of individuals on the autism spectrum.

Autism Ontario’s newest scholarship is named after Carole Ann MacDonald and her family. Ms. MacDonald was the first member of the Board of Directors of Autism Ontario who has an autism diagnosis. Who can apply: students with a parent on the autism spectrum.

Each award consists of $500. The deadline to submit an application is April 30, 2022.

In this webinar, we will review the benefits and challenges of engaging in physical activity for autistic youth and adults and highlight the importance of physical activity during emerging adulthood. The presentation will also provide practical tips/tricks on how to include autistic adolescents and adults in physical activity.

This webinar is geared towards autistic girls and adolescents. Topics will include what to expect during puberty, self care, hygiene, and menstruation. Resources and tips will be provided.

In this discussion, our panelists will share their own journeys and perspectives of navigating systemic barriers while engaging in positive advocacy with elected officials and within systems to affect positive change.

Autism Ontario webinars are an interactive, easy-to-understand resource for autistic people, parents, professionals, and educators.

Groups are a great way to connect with other families and brainstorm ideas on different supports and services in your area.

We are working with local businesses and shops to provide take home kits – from ceramic painting to birdhouse making, there are lots of choices!

During these sessions, our Service Navigators will lead you through the OAP reconciliation process.

Autism Ontario has established a volunteer panel that will be include adult self-advocates from the Central West and Central East regions who can contribute to program development and learning opportunities.
