Central West – Express Yourself for Youth ages 13-17

Registration is closed for this event

Autistic youth will explore self-expression in this four-part series, a collaboration between Brampton Library, PAMA (Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives), and Autism Ontario where the objective is to try new mediums in an effort to find every participant's unique means of expressing themselves.

The first part of the series will explore expression through Brampton Library’s MakerSpace technology. The second will explore the use of watercolour crayons at PAMA. The third will explore spoken word poetry, comedy, and memoir at Brampton Library. Finally, PAMA will introduce participants to mixed media through comic drawing. Saturday, December 3 is International Day of Peoples with Disabilities, and we will showcase artwork at Brampton Library’s Chinguacousy branch.

Location: The sessions will occur at two locations:  Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives and Brampton Library’s Four Corners branch.

Time: Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Date: October 29, November 5, 12, 19 and December 3, 2022

Registration Fee: $10.00

NOTE: Participation is limited to families residing in Central West (Halton, Peel, Waterloo, and Wellington). If your postal code does not correspond with these areas, we will not be able to accept you as a participant. Thank you for your understanding.
